Expert Solution

Considering two people , one seems to be much older depending upon their traits of personality , physical/genetic development etc .

Speaking from personality point of view, it changes gradually from the one which a person has experienced in his / her childhood . The personality in the older age seems to be much more matured than the ones during childhood days.

Researchers worked on 3 age groups . They are : Centenarians , octogenarians , sexagenarians .

Centenarians is the age group of aged people who lives more than 100 years . People belonging to this age group generally have a suspcious nature but lower in intelligence and stress level. Sensitivity level were lower in this case. It turned up with higher scores for issues like fatigue and depression.

Octogenarians : These age group ranges from 80 to 89. They showed high response to regression but lower in terms of personality trait such as arousal. They lacked in traits like dominance , conscientiousness , etc .

Sexagenerian : These age group ranges from 60 to 69 year old. This is the period , when an individual attains the age of retirement . Post retirement , when the person is left with no work develops a feeling of loneliness, emptiness, a feeling of restlessness. etc.

Speaking from physical development point of view,

People generally of this age , starting from 60's tend to decline physically. No development happen as such .

But a person with similar age group tends to feel better than the one who is also of the same age is just because , of the way they perceive things. One person perceives him/her to be old enough to move , thereby loosing the locomotive power.

Whereas , the other one perceives thing to be staying fit in terms of going to a morning/evening walk .

It is all about how you feel from inside . Mental strength is also needed to combat this aging issue.

Physical exercise keeps the body fit , and helps in reducing problems .
