The statements that describe appropriate strategies for
preventing antibiotic resistance are:
A.Practice good hand
hygiene, and get recommended vaccines.
E.Do not ask for
antibiotics when your doctor thinks you do not need
them.
Because, Antibiotic resistance can affect any person, at any stage
of life. People who arereceiving health care or those with weakened
immune systems are often at higher risk for getting an infection.
People can protect themselves from antibiotic resistance by: doing
best to stay healthy and keep others healthy; getting recommended
vaccines, such as the flu vaccine; staying home when sick and
covering cough.
When antibiotics aren’t needed, they won’t help, and their side
effects could still cause harm.
If doctor decides an antibiotic is the best treatment when someone
is sick:
Taking the antibiotic exactly as doctor tells
Not sharing antibiotics with others
Not saving them for later
Not taking antibiotics which are prescribed for someone else.
