Under System requirement provide a detail overall description, product perspective, Memory Constraint, user interface, Site adaptation Requirements and Operations of building a HBCU Database Hub/Center.
System requirements:
All computer software needs certain hardware components or other software resources to be present on a computer.[1] These prerequisites are known as (computer) system requirements and are often used as a guideline as opposed to an absolute rule. Most software defines two sets of system requirements: minimum and recommended. With an increasing demand for higher processing power and resources in newer versions of software, system requirements tend to increase over time. Industry analysts suggest that this trend plays a bigger part in driving upgrades to exist computer systems than technological advancements. A second meaning of the term of system requirements, is a generalisation of this first definition, giving the requirements to be met in the design of a system or sub-system.
Product perspective under system requirements:
Elementary building blocks of the product perspective are product requirements statements. They define the product’s functional behavior, qualities, and constraints in response to stakeholder needs or adjacent systems’ assumptions.
Examples of product requirements are:
Memory constraint under system requirements:
All software, when run, resides in the random access memory (RAM) of a computer. Memory requirements are defined after considering demands of the application, operating system, supporting software and files, and other running processes. Optimal performance of other unrelated software running on a multi-tasking computer system is also considered when defining this requirement.
User interface:
A user interface specification is a document that captures the details of the software user interface into a written document. The specification covers all possible actions that an end user may perform and all visual, auditory and other interaction elements.
Site adaption requirements:
The site adaptation requirements includes definition of the requirements for any data or initialization sequences that are specific to a given site, mission, or operational mode.
Ex: grid values, safety limits, etc...,
