a).

The one person who is supposed to manage the inspection process of the code and all the meetings is the moderator.

The meeting for inspection may include following metrics:

  • The total lines in which the code has been written.
  • The number of detects that are detected and are as considered as major.
  • Calculating the total number of defects that are found are added and subtracted by the defects which were found and were considered as common and are found by each reviewer.
  • Finding the critical path which is the largest path in the diagram.
  • The time taken from the each reviewer for preparing is added.

b).

The testing process cannot be replaced by the process of inspection as:

  • There are a number of automation tools which are available for performing the testing but there are no automation tools whihc are available for performing the process of inspection.
  • The process of testing is carried out on the basis of several test cases but the process of inspection is carried out on the basis of specifications of the project.
