when a baby came from mother's womb baby contains common sense along with hands, legs, stomuch etc.Later baby loses common sense by learning society rules, religious, cultural rules with out asking why.Baby blindly belives parents and teachers.Blindly follows their words. These lack of reasonability and logic leads our thoughts and behaviour abnormal.

Causes of abonormal behaviour

1.Blindly following rules and regulations

2.Always trying to impress others

3.Owning materials.

4.I know everything

5.deeply loving persons,materials,identity,popularity,money etc

6.depending upon others

DIFFERENT TYPES OF APPROACHES TO ABNORMAL BEHAVIOUR :

Psychoanalytical approach:

It is developed by Sigmund Frued. When we are trying to gain social acceptance we compress our desires, opinions, thoughts and behaviours . Then these desires are settled at the bottom part of the brain called subconcious. These type of controlling generates frustations in our brain. However we don't show this frustations to others because that leads social rejectance. Then our subconcious becomes more strongly. This process increases in day by day.At some level we can't live without our desires become true. Then also we wants social acceptance.Alternatively our brain starts imagination. In begining this gives more relaxiation.Later we addicts to this . We don't want to get back to reality.Causes illusions,un reasonal thoughts, irrealted actions. These are all causes abnormal behaviour

Dreams are one more alternative to subconcious to through out the compressed desires and thoughts.

BEHAVIOURAL APPROACH TO ABNORMALITY

changing our inherent behaviour to gain rewards or not to get punishment cause abnormality

classical conditioning

Association of environmental stimulus to our biological response.

example ; if we get punished by a lecturer we feels either fear or angry on the lecturer when we sees him next time

operant conditioning

Learning through reward and punishment. In both cases we loses our inherent behaviour.

example

john likes music . But his father said if you read very well I will buy Iphone for you. Then john neglects music and focus on studies

BIOLOGICAL APPROACH

Abnormal levels of neuro trasmitters and hormones causes abnormal functions in brain.Neuro transmitters are chemical messengers.

Damages to certain areas of the brain causes abnormal functions of brain.

1. Damage to Hippocampus : profound memory loss

2. Damage to broca's area ; inability to understand speech properly

COGNITIVE APPROACH

cognitive involves thinking, solving, decision making. But most of the cases we will do mistakes in cognition. Because we follow different types of rules like religious, cultural, social etc.some times these rules not suitable to natural situations. Then we will be confused to take right decision . breaking of above rules causes guilty feeling.

secondly we always trying to judge others in every situation.most of those will leads us to make wrong assumptions.that causes negative thinking. That leads to do mistakes. making mistakes causes abnormal behaviour. Because we don't accept our mistakes

EFFECTS OF ABNORMAL BEHAVIOUR

1.Depression

2.Insomnia

3.Bi polar disorders

4.Anxiety disorders
