I strongly recommend that you start your search at Google Scholar . Once you enter your search term(s), select the "Since 2016" link on the left. Feel free to choose ANY relevant paper. (I would recommend that you select one that you can read and summarize in a reasonable amount of time. Don't select a 100 page paper!)

Data Science is a very important, emerging, multi-disciplinary, and
scientific field and paradigm, which has been creating research
opportunities and evolution in statistics, computing and
intelligence science, using different and blend of various
scientific methods, tools, processes, algorithms, machine learning
principles, and systems that are in turn used for extracting
knowledge and insights, technically from structured and
unstructured data to learn, analyse, understand, and discover
patterns from the raw or unprocessed data. These data are studied,
researched, and analyzed from many perspectives, and some being
even unknown, unfamiliar, thus demystifying plenty of possibilities
of seeing and doing things in this world coming up with solutions
for most of the complex problems we have and are facing.
Also, in real-world applications, it is driving practical changes in science, engineering, the public sector, business, social science, entertainment, and lifestyle domains.
Data Science includes and involves concepts, technologies, ideas, implementation, integration, and areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI), data analytics, Machine Learning (ML), pattern recognition, natural language processing and understanding, and Big Data manipulation. Not only these, but also it handles related other new scientific problems, technologies, and their solutions, from data- capture, creation, storage, retrieval, sharing, analysis, optimization, and visualization; integrative analysis applied all across heterogeneous and interdependent complex resources in order to make decisions, collaborate, and create values in better ways.
Data Science field is booming, evolving, has been developing, is coming up with new trends, transformations, updates, and opportunities, and it is being continuously innovated, requiring ideas and practices being shared, requiring multi-disciplinary approach, exchanged, and worked on, and promoting transdisciplinary and cross-domain collaborations amongst thought leaders, researchers, data scientists, industry practitioners, and potential users of Data Science and Analytics.
Data Science requires to be created and built with a strong bond to emerging Big Data and to other data-driven technologies. It requires both, traditional educational models and existing courses to be thought and designed all over again from scratch in a new way and perspective.
