This week’s assignment is a position paper. Below are two statements of which you will select one to be the basis of the assignment. You are then asked to determine if you will take a pro (agree) or con (disagree) position on the statement. You must then (in 1 page) argue your position of pro or con.

Remember, you are to select one statement only. You should restate the quote at the beginning of your paper (center it), and then right after the statement write your position … AGREE or DISAGREE. You will then argue your position with the use of three sources, which you will also include as an attached reference page. The position paper is limited to one page and an additional page for references.

Statement 1

“Social Media Marketing is the best option for small businesses to develop relationships, promote and brand their companies.”

Statement 2

“The Impact of Social Media Marketing can achieve the reach of national mass media advertising and the influence of traditional word of mouth.”

Social Media Marketing is the best option for small businesses to develop relationships, promote and brand their companies

The way of doing business has changed and it is no more what it was few years back, recent developments and advancements in the field of business has made the business environment change and how startups and small organizations have emerged to be quite a powerful organization and there are so many example with which we can relate to. Advertisement and marketing also has been an important aspect and the organizations have been quite sensitive and serious about the same so that they emerge as profit making business.

Marketing and advertising techniques are many and the organizations have also accepted this method widely but at present the trend of adverting is changing and organizations are using social and virtual media for their advertisements and they are being successful. The reason is that the population of the world is shifting towards virtual media and if we look at the social media platforms we will observe that alms each and everyone is active which makes it a huge platform to advertise and the organizations are actually using this platform diligently to make things happen.

We know the importance of social media in the life of people nowadays and hence social media plays a huge role and the organizations are actually making it a point to have a presence by creating page and promote the products and creating relationships with customers which is actually promoting the brand to quite some extent and this is helping the organizations a lot because either it is free or with a basic nominal cost. Customers also choose convenient and hence they prefer searching up organizations and getting reviews regarding an organization through social media and as it is well connected it helps the customers in relating a product comparing it and then deciding to avail.

I believe that this is the next big thing and future of advertising and promotion and there is no substitute at present so organizations should think properly and make this things happen in a proper manner so that they do not lag behind.
