Imagine that you are training others to work with people who are terminally ill or in grief. Advise your group about how to work most effectively with those populations.
One of the most important things about working with terminally ill people is that people need to accept them with all their rigidity and fears. This is because of the fact that most of the terminally ill people would feel lonely because they would have no one to talk to. Thus, listening to them is one of the most important characteristics or qualities the team members should adopt. Secondly, they should be able to help them overcome their fear of death by asking the terminally ill people to share the good times they had in their life thus, making them understand that they had lived a happy life which would improve their mood. Thirdly, they should help them engage in their favorite past time or make them watch their favourite events or sports in order to life their mood and spend the rest of their life with the same energy and enthusiasm. Finally, they also need to be culturally sensitive thus, learning about the cultural beliefs, values, customs, practices etc. along with the religious beliefs would help them to a great extent in their final years.
