(Answer) The “Ethics Codes Collection” is an example of a good collection of ethical codes that consist of more than 2500 individual rules or conduct that are from around 1500 different fields and organisations. The ECC helps professionals, researchers, scientists, experimenters, students and practitioners make ethical decisions that are based on a common code that puts the rights of living beings on the forefront.

1. The basic framework of these codes is based on the value of human rights. It outlines ways and methods in which the follower of these codes might be able to safeguard the rights of him/herself or another. In cases of experiments, clinical trials, technological improvements etc. decisions that help protect human rights and uphold the freedom of an individual would be used in order to make progress within each field.
2. The codes are traversed through the field of agriculture, social science, medicine, technology, economics, finance, media, management etc. Furthermore, these codes are universal and based on common morals that are upheld throughout the world. These codes are beneficial to professionals as it forms a common means of conduct that unites several professions under the ideology of morality and social responsibility.
3. Thirdly, when it comes to situations of questionable legalities, these codes can be applied to several fields and aspects. For instance, if there are cases where medicine and technology are equally involved, it becomes easy for the solicitor to refer to a common set of codes for both aspects of a case. This would help point out illegal inferences through multiple spectrums with the help of the same codes.
