Along with the industrial growth agricultural development also took place. There were the many land owners who would cultivate sugarcane, tobacco, ti3ce, cotton etc. These agricultural materials were in great demand for the expansion of the industry. Besides these land owners were mainly exporters. Therefore they would import a large number of slaves from the Caribbean provinces. These slaves would be employed generation after generation in plantation. Therefore they are still marked as plantation slavery.

There were many slave traders who were involved in slave trading. There were alave dealers and atbthat period it was a profitable business. The slaves would be imported by force.
