In your opinion and using tangible examples, explain four major reasons that can push the impulsive procrastinator to engage in procrastination.

  • A Fear of Failure. In my experience one of the most common causes of procrastination is a deep-rooted fear of failure.
  • Excessive Perfectionism. Another common cause of procrastination is excessive perfectionism.
  • Low Energy Levels. Example: A person who is lazy by his nature.
  • A Lack of Focus. Example: A person whose attention is distracted very easily from outside influences.

Question 1 (b) Describe three relevant reasons why Joyce should engage in group study?

  • Gain Better Understanding of Subject.

  1. Get yourself prepared. Malcolm Gladwell said it in Outliers, and I'll say it again: It takes time to achieve expertise. And when opportunity arises you should seize it.
  2. Realize that you'll never be totally prepared. This means yow need to take risks.
  3. Keep your eyes open i.e. be open minded to grab opportunities.
