How is communication changing between people? Think about how your Grandmother talks with people. Is it the same as how you talk to people?
Nowadays, with the developing technologies and with an easy access to the internet, children as young as three year olds know how to operate certain applications on their tablets or parent's phone and computers. Everybody has Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram and various other applications which are a click away on their phones. This has lead to change communication between people. Our ancestors or grandparents were not exposed to social media which could alter their ways of communication.
Communication requires a speaker and a recipient to encode and interpret the message sent across and then reply once the message has been understood. I reckon the major problem is lack of patience. On social media since everything in texts, it makes a person habitual to breezing through information instead of comprehending and interpreting what has been written. Communication was clear back in the time which no longer is the case. This results in umpteen misunderstandings and miscommunication.
