Utilizing ONLY the information from all three chapters, explain how management has changed over the past 100 years. State five factors affecting the change and has led us to a global business environment.
Management has changed drastically within the time scope of 100 years. Many principles, actions, strategies and implementations have been taken up under these 100 years have been strategically changed. The ways people were percieved, the resources were used and the actions were performed, has changed as the virtue of the importance of the people that has been increasing over the period of time. Talking about the factors which affects what has structured these changes are as follows:
1. People: The first factor which has contributed to what has made these changes possible is the people that work. People and their perceptions have been changed accordingly in these years. The Tylor's management who has strategically forced about the resources and has not given importance to the people has made this evolution happen. People, their needs and their demands have to be strategically understand. The importance have been understand and thus, the priortities to human capabilities, abilities and competencies and the internal factors are given more importance as compared to the external factors and have made this change happened.
2. Resources: Another factor which made this change happen was the use of resources. As we all know the resources have been strategically increased as compared to the older times. Due to globalisation, privatisation and liberalisation, resources were now available all around the countries which has made the management understand the changes that should be taken to understand the effective utilisation of resources within this years.
3. Technology: At last, one last factor which has contributed towards the change that has taken place for the last 100 years would be the implementation of technology. Due to globalisation, the technology has been travelled and is being used around all the countries which made the effective use of the resources and the people. Technology has made the management understand how the implementation of these technology could make the organisation how to effectively utilise the resources. Thus, the advancement of technology has made the development of hardwares, softwares, and the initiated systems to manage the workforce in a better way.
