1) IP ADDRESS AND MAC ADDRESS

IP ADDRESS

IP adress stands for internet protocol adress; it is an identifying number that is associated with a specific computer or computer network. When connected to the internet, the IP address allows the computers to send and receive information.

MAC ADDRESS

A media access control address (MAC address) is a unique identifier assigned to a network interface controller (NIC) for use as a network address is in communications within a network segment. This use is common in most IEEE 802 networking technologies, including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

IP address MAC address
A numerical label assigned to each device connected to a computer network that uses the Internet Protocol for communication. A unique identifier assigned to a Network Interface Controller(NIC) of the computing device.
Stands for Internet Protocol Address. Stands for Media Access Controll Adress.
Also called logical adress, network or internet address. Also called physical, hardware or ethernet address.
Helps to identify the connection of a device on the internet. Helps to uniquely identify the device.
Assigned by an administrator or an ISP Assigned by the device manufacture.

IPv4 - 32 bits (4 bytes)

IPv6 - 128 bits(16 bytes)

48 bits (6 bytes) long.
Works in the Network Layer. Works in the Data Link Layer.

2) Internet and internet

Internet with a capital "I" refers tonthe entire Internet (meaning the biggest collection bof networks on the planet). internet with lowercase"i" refers to any group of network that are connected together. Internet actually refers to a single inter-connected network within one organization that uses Web/HTTP technologies for sharing of information internally. In other words we can string together internets to make our own private internet. We could then conceivably connect our internet to the Internet. BTW: The WWW is not the same thing as the Internet. WWW only refers to running the HTTP/HTTPS service on the Internet.

Internet is the biggest collection of network.

And internet is any network like BYM and www.web.

3) Network and internet

Network

Network is defined as the group of two or more computer system. The types of network are: LAN, MAN, WAN, CAN and HAM.

internet

internet is the interrelationship of few networks. Types of internet is world wide web.

NETWORK INTERNET
Network is defined as the group of two or more computer systems. internet is the interrelationship of a few networks.
The coverage of network is limited in comparison of internet. While it covers large geographical area.
The types of network are LAN, MAN, WAN ,CAN, HAM. The types of internet is world wide web.
It provides the link between many computers and network-enabled devices. While it provide connection among many networks.
It requires less number of hardware devices. It requires various hardware devices.
Through network, hundreds or a few thousands of computer system can linked simultaneously. While through internet, millions of computer system can linked simultaneously.
