In: Operations Management
In project management, I am designing a project proposal for a job center for the homeless. I'm trying to figure out the in-scope and out-of-scope items that would go into the proposal.
Since the project is about creation of a job center for the homeless, it will depend on lot on the type of project. Are you merely creating the infrastructure (office building) or are you also involved in creating the operational guideline (how the job center will work). It will be recommended not to do both of them because it can get too complicated and cluttered. Now, let’s assume that you are doing the latter (designing operational details) then you can put the following in you in-scope portion
Definition of homeless individual
Operational process of the job center to source jobs
Operational process of the job center to process the homeless individuals
Process flow chart/diagram
Stakeholder
Project timeline, resource, and requirement
Legal and regulatory requirement
When it comes to out of scope document there can be a lot of things. However, you could point out the following
Basically, if it is not part of your project but there can be confusion that it is, you should mention those items here.
