If the president of your college called you in and asked how a community college could create a competitive advantage for itself, what would you recommend? (Be sure to consider the costs as well as the benefits of your proposal and the economic aspect.
A Thumbs Up! Would be really helpful for me. If you have any questions, please leave a comment and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Community college can create a competitive advantage for itself in some following ways:
1. Student involvement: the college should try to involve students in the the the various activities as much as possible and feasible in order to provide some knowledge to the students outside the books, and we can gain values and practical skills, etc. Volunteering in various activities would be effective for involving students and gain some knowledge. It can act as a competitive advantage.
2. Student orientation: the college should have student orientation and its main focus must be on students, that too not only on one student but the whole class. The professor should try to take the whole class together and should try to improve the performance of comparatively weak students also.
3. Timely feedback: the management of college should take proper feedback from the students as well as from the professors and other workers in the college regarding the current policies and procedures prevailing in the college. They should be allowed to recommend something new. There is a need to properly assess and review the policies from time to time.
4. Flexibility and autonomy: the students studying in the college should be given better flexibility to choose their courses and subjects and the timings too. Moreover, they should be given autonomy with the classes for choosing the methods of studying.
