In A Midsummer Nights Dream there are four plots. In the main plot there are Theseus and Hippolyta. Theseus is the Duke of Athens and Hippolyta is the queen of the Amazons. The main plot consists of the marriage ceremony between Theseus and Hippolyta.

The main plot consists four lovers. There are Lysander and Hermia, Demetrius and Helena. Lysander loves Hermia and Hermia loves Lysander. On the other hand, Demetrius wants to marry Hermia and her father also wants to marry Hermia with Demetrius. But Helena loves Demetrius but he does not love Helena.

In the third plot there are the mechanicals of Athens. They want to stage a play on the marriage ceremony of Duke Theseus and queen Hippolyta. This group consists Bottom, Snug, Quince and others. They want to play the story of Pyramus and Thisbe .

The fourth group consists the fairy world. Delhi find the fairy Queen Oberon and the Queen Titania. There are other fairies and the main character in the fairy world is Puck. He is the main source of laughter in the play. He interferes in the love relationship of four lovers. He makes confusion in the the drama rehearsal of the mechanicals of Athens. The fairies also attend the marriage ceremony of Theseus and Hippolyta.
