CRITICAL CONSUMER-

Critical consumption refers to the choice of buying or not buying a specific product based on ethical and political beliefs. The critical consumer thinks about the importance of considering some characteristics of the product such as environmental sustainability and respect of workers’ rights.

Critical consumers take full responsibility for the environmental, social and political effects of their choices. The critical consumer sympathize with certain social goals and contributes towards them through modifying their consumption behavior.

HOW TO BE CRITICAL CONSUMER IN FUTURE AND PROTECT OURSELVES-

The Covid-19 pandemic has adversely impacted the indusrtries all around the world. Now is the time to support the domestic indutries to bring back the economy in line. For this purpose, critical consumption is required. We, as a citizen should understand this that our economy can only flourish if we support the domestic goods.

We should purchase goods and avail services from domestic suppliers so as to help them as well as to help the economy.

In this process of critical consumption, it is important to protect ourselves from the exploitation of domestic industries, for this purpose sound choice needs to be made in selection of Vendor, nature of service availed, general price charged for such service and other related things.
