Briefly outline the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on Japan as a tourist destination

Because of this COVID-19 ,like other countries Japan also suffered much crisis in tourist destination.Various tourist cancelled their tour reservations resulted significant reduction in foreign visitors and tourists to Japan. In addition to this, entry ban to foreign tourist in Japan is started.
Japan receives a high number of foreign visitors from countries like South Korea,Taiwan,Hongkong ,Malesia etc.All these also affected COVID-19.so travellers from these countries to Japan also affected. Due to this revenue of Japnease airlines will be reduced in future also because of this long time effect of COVID-19.
In case of marine tourism losses is also higher when we consider travellers from the country like Philipines,South Korea,Hongkong etc.
The number of tourists in Japan reduced by 58.3% ,it is considered as biggest reduction in last nine years because of travel restrictions implemented by the Government to control the spread of COVID-19. This decline is necessary to continue for next few months as the Government imposes restrictions on the entry in Japan from the people of China and European countries for control of COVID-19.
Recently Goverment of Japan has give priority to tourist growth and enhance the capacity of Tokyo airport to concide with the summer Olympics coming in city.But all these affected adversely by COVID -19.
