The two cases I would like to talk about the Comcast are :

1. Around in 2015, a Comcast subscriber named Lisa Brown from Washington called the Comcast in an attempt to downgrade the current cable package she was availing as she denied an offer. On the next month's billing cycle, she discovered that her name of the billing was changed to "Asshole Brown". It created a lot of controversy and affected the goodwill of the organsiation at large when the case was filled up. It the ethical duty of the organisation to take care of the integrity of the customers and provide them with the best customer care practices which the Comcast failed at this time. By such mistreatment of name, Comcast suffered a lot for its goodwill. The organsiation gave the statement saying the apologised to the customer for this behaviour and said they have a zero tolerance for such behaviour by their employees. Preventive actions were taken by the organisation to make sure this thing never happens again as a whole investigation was done to secure and check who could be the possible reason regarding this whole issue. The employee who was in question was terminated because of this unethical practice which is not tolerable. The name of the customer was fixed and a refund along with 2 years free service was provided as an apology and compensation charges.

2. Around 2016, the attorney General of the state of Washington, Bob Ferguson initiated a law case against the Comcast regarding their equipment insurance plan which is called the Service Protection Plan was added deceptively to many of its Washingto customers' accounts without taking their consent or the having their knowledge regarding the same. The residents of the Washington paid around $73 million for the fraud services which provided little actual coverage. This is again an example of the unethical customer service activity practiced by the organisation. Many researchers have claimed that Comcast is one of the leading companies having the most complaints by the customers because of their services and thus, one should take care of this fact.
