1. Political Activism/ Advocacy Personal Strategic Plan – develop a personal strategic plan to describe how you will become more politically active and serve as an advocate in the nursing and health policy arena. Consider the strategies described in the required readings. With this in mind, your personal strategic plan should include the following:
Prepare a 2 – 3 page document that outlines these steps. You are not required to follow APA format however must cite appropriately via in-text citation and provide a reference page in APA format. The strategic plan can be written in outline form.
Ans) Locally, nurses can become politically active by assuming leadership positions in the healthcare system or contacting elected officials about legislation affecting the industry. Nurses can obtain formal training in politics, become involved in city councils and committees, or even run for local office.
- Based on the analysis undertaken, nurses' policy influence is nurses' ability in influencing decisions and affairs related to health through political knowledge, effective communication, and collaboration with other members of the health team, which results in the improvement of nurses' job environment and increases.
- Core values are the fundamental beliefs of a person or organization. These guiding principles dictate behavior and can help people understand the difference between right and wrong. Core values also help companies to determine if they are on the right path and fulfilling their goals by creating an unwavering guide.
- Core values of nursing include altruism, autonomy, human dignity, integrity, honesty and social justice [3]. The core ethical values are generally shared within the global community, and they are a reflection of the human and spiritual approach to the nursing profession.
