How does Costco compare to Sam's Club Financially? Which is doing better?
Costco and Sam's club are both working in the same business of "Bulk Retailer" and the coincidence between the two companies is that in 1983 both are founded and they usually seeks the wholesaler retailer as their members, who buy bulk items from them and they both are publicly traded retailer company.
The financial comparison between the Costco and Sam's club is mentioned below:
Costco charge membership to their retailers more than the Sam's club and Sam's Club does not have many varieties as compare to the Costco and Costco sold and got revenue of $ 1380000000($138 Billion) in financial year 2018 and is much higher than Sam's Club and Sam's Club a walmart's subsidiary got revenue of $580000000 ($58 Billions) from sales in financial year 2018 which is lower than the Costco due to the reason of not offering their products to the general public due to the non-membership with Sam's Club.
I believe that the Costco is doing better because they are able to mark their revenues much higher than the Sam's club, just got revenues of $ 58 Billions which is lesser by $80 Billions of the amount of revenues of the Costco because this is the big difference and hence the Costco is doing better because they also offer their products to the general public, who are no members of the Costco.
