You are the ‘Menu Planner’ for your sister’s “Sweet Sixteen” surprise birthday party. You have always known that your sister’s desired theme for her special day is “A Night in Paris” with eighty of her closet friends and family members. Discuss the factors that you ought to consider when planning the menu for this party
Factors to consider while planning a menu for the birthday party -
1. Budget - The amount which is decided to be used in the food for the party. It will be done by creating a menu first, calculating the amount and then filtering the menu to reach the desired budget.
2. Party Theme - Since, the theme is decided as "A night in Paris", the menu will include most of the french dishes and events. It will be including most of the special french delicacies.
3. Vegetarian and non vegetarian - We will have to identify the number of Vegetarian and non vegetarian people in the party, the amount of dishes to be served will be decided on it.
4. Venue of the Party - Venue of the party is a factor as transportation and availability of the raw materials is required to be assessed.
5. Number of Guests - It is helpful in deciding the amount of food items required and also the other suppoting items such as crockery, spoons, Glasses etc.
6. Time available - It will be helpful in deciding to cook the dishes on time so that they are served fresh and tasty to the guests.
7. Availability of raw material - Since, the off season vegetbles and products will be higher in price, selection of seasonal and fresh raw material is required.
8. Schedule of the event - It refers to the time period in which the party will be held. The menu includes the items for that time of the day.
9. Offering the variety - There can be variety of foods available and can be kept in the menu while, it will not be feasible to put everything.
