What do you think is the single most fascinating aspect in terms of the way individuals behave in organizations out of all of the elements presented in chapter 9 from Principles of Management by Griffin? Personally, which one of these do you think would be the most challenging to deal with and why? Thoroughly explain your answer.
Ways of individual behavior in an organization are as below:
No. 1) Interest of learning
No. 2) Coordination attitude
No. 3) Creativity
No. 4) Motivation
No. 5) personality
No. 6) Task oriented
No. 7) Morality and ethics
No. 8) Perception
No. 9) Cognition
Fascinating fact: Individuals behave in organizations differently at different point of time – in the initial stage when an employee is recruited, his/her interest of learning seems high; but as the time goes on it decreases and if during this time he/she gets promotion such interest seems to be zero.
This is the most challenging aspect, interest of learning. If it goes down or stopped, the process of improvement also could be stopped. A person gets better and better through learning; it actually increases knowledge of work, skills, efficiency, and smartness of work. All these are required for overall organizational goal. Employees should be encouraged to better learning for the sake of organization’s interest.
