Using the Internet, find a healthcare-related example of one of the types of charts or graphs described in this week’s readings. Evaluate the chart and summarize the data it illustrates. What other kind of chart could have been used to illustrate this data? Would it have been more effective, or less? Why? Cite your research and explain all your answers in detail.

This graph is a combination of a bar chart and a line
graph.
Using the bar chart it shows the number of people who would be more
than 65 years in a certain year.
Using the line chart it shows the percentage of the total
population who be above 65 years old and need health care
service
Both graphs are trying to show an upward trend in the number of elderly people needing health care service.
We could represent this in two separate graphs but since it showing a trend we need to use a line or bar graph to capture the upward or downward movement.
The effectiveness of representing in any other manner would be less effective since the absolute growth number of elderly people and what percentage they constitute of the total population is shown in one graph. Hence it gives a comprehensive idea of the amount of opportunity that are available for the health care service for this section of the population.
