Find an article that shows different descriptive statistics (summary measures, graphs, tables, or charts, etc). Discuss something you learned as a result of the descriptive statistics.
Answer:
The article has a lot of descriptive statistics and information on the voter turnout rates for different age groups of people and major racial & ethnic groups.
The first graph of the National voter turnout tells us that how the midterm elections of 2018 had the highest voter turnout with 53.4% and 2014 had the lowest of four decades with 41.9%
To know the reason of such increase from 2014 to 2018, we will see the voter turnout of each age group or racial/ethnic groups. We can notice from the table that there was a huge increase in the voter turnout from 20% to 36% among the 18-29 year olds young adults. If we see across men and women, there was an increase in the voter turnout by around 11-12% in both. Other results can be stated in the same way.
If we take a look at each of the statistics in the table, we will notice that there was a increase in the voter turnout among all the groups from 2014 to 2018
