A study designed to predict the resilient modulus of pavement from
physical properties. One of the questions addressed was whether the
modulus differs betweer rutted and nonruttec pavement. Measurements
of the resilient modulus at 40°C in 10°KPA) are presented below for
5 sections of ruited pavement and 9 sections of nonrutted pavement.
Ruited: 1.48 1.88 1.90 1.29 1.00 Nonruted: 3.06 2.58 1.70 2.44 2.03
1.76 2.86 2.82 1.04 a) Perform a hypothesis test to determine
whether it is plausible that the mean resilient modulus is the same
for rutted and nonrutted pavement. b) Compute the -value c) What do
you corclude? d) Identify the difference between the Classical,
Exploratory and Bayesian data analysis approach?
Please use step by step calculation of the problem(show formulas
used,not software). Thank you.
