Solution:
We selected Amazon.com as our organization and we conducted a Google search for that company. We got the results which have a mix of organic and paid results. The results included organic results which actually appear after the paid results. The results are the advertising by these companies where they pay Google to give them the spot in online relevant searches. There are text advertisements, display advertisements, shopping or commerce advertisements. These are the different types of advertisements that we see on the search engine results page.
These types of advertising are different in their structure as well as the objectives of motives for which they are used. Commerce ads are intended for maximum conversion whereas display ads add more appeal to the advertiser. The text ads are most common and are ads that explain about the business and its aspects with relevant text. Hence, this is how these types of advertisements are different.
In today's advertising world we have options such as verbal advertisement, display advertisement, word of mouth promotions on social media, social media advertisements, email advertisement among others. These are some of the types of online advertising. Google dominates the text advertisements where these are presented when a user searches a query on Google. This is because most of the search queries on Google are textual queries.
Google can be successful in display advertisements by attracting advertisers who are interested in display advertisements to leverage the visual element associated with the advertisement. Hence, Google can gather more and more advertisers to come on Google and advertise the products or promotions using the display ads that have more chances of conversion because of the visual element associated with display ads.
Google can grow their revenue with commerce eds that is growing owing to the growth in e-commerce. Hence, businesses will pay extra to advertise their e-commerce on Google for maximum conversions and Hence this is a lucrative new option for Google to grow their operations in this domain.
