Describe 3 situations in which we expect parent-offspring conflict to be very strong. Consider both sides of the "equation." When should children try to maximize the amount of parenting they get for themselves? AND when should parents be most interested in withholding parenting from their current offspring?
Parent-Offspring conflict often takes place, and sometimes it reaches to the peak. But if we talk about 3 situations in which we expect the parent-offspring conflict to be very strong, then here it is and they are my opinion.
When a child is compared with any other child, then it created low confidence in the child and he can have a conflict with his parents.
When a child does not get what he likes but his friend has that thing, and sometimes parents are right and they don’t buy that thing for the kid as it is not useful for him. But this created a conflict between parents and children.
Scolding you children in front of his friends, this can be a big issue for both of them. As the kid will lose his temper and he will retaliate which will hurt the parent and can lead to conflict.
Children can maximize their parenting when they are growing up, they should learn from their parents. And they should respect their parents, parenting should be even maximized when a child is emotionally ,socially weak. He should increase it to get more support from his parents.
But their should be a time when parents should withhold their parenting, when the child is doing wrong or getting negative. Parents should teach their children lesson and should for sometime withhold their parenting.
