What are the most significant similarities and differences between ethical decision-making processes prescribed in the APA ethics code and those based on a Christian worldview? Explain. How might your research be influenced by these processes? Explain.
According to the APA code of ethics, the decision making process is consists of four steps. These steps are-1.Determine who the affected population is.2.Determine the impact of decision 3.Step 3 refers to the reflected perspective in the participant preferred decision referring to the CORE concepts such as characters, obligations, results or equity. 4.Measures the potential justification of the decision on ethical grounds.
According Christian world view, the decision. making process involves seven steps. These steps are-
1.Direction from God-Our overall direction in life is determined by our commitment to GOD. We must remember to ask him to direct our lives.
2.Define the problem or opportunity
3.Dig out the relevant information-We need to search out pertinent facts about the specific problem or opportunity
4.Determine the alternative
5.Deliberate-Weigh options. Make lust of pros and cons for each one. Eliminate the worst ideas and concentrate and examine the best ones
6.Decide-Take a decision to choose the best alternative
7.Do-Take action. Implement the decision firmly and with conviction.
