Identify some of the key provisions found in the Civil Rights Acts of the 1860’s and 1870’s and why they were passed. Were they effective or ineffective and why? Explain it more than 200 words.

These law were pass to give equal right for all people and make their life dignityful , free and quality full. These were inacted as a long movement, protest etc were take places .

The Civil Rights Act of 1866

1)equally protectection under the law for all

2) defined citizenship

3)not giving citizenship on basis of race,color became illegal under this law.

Civil Rights Act of 1875

,1)African Americans equal treatment in public transportation and

2 )equal treatment in public accommodations and service on juries for everyone .

Effective : these law pave way for stronger law in future in this regards and also make people aware about their right and somehow these law make people life a little bit easier as they have benifit from these.

Ineffective:

poor implementation and lack of political will as well as politicization of issues make them ineffective

Allocation of resources were not according to protect their right.

People mentality of superiority still exist

These law were still not enough as other right were also not given yet like voting rights for all ,gender equality etc.
