Who would be your target market?
What media would you use?
Would you use comparative or competitive advertising?
1. The target market in the case of Huggies diapers would be children unless I also develop diapers for elderly people. In the other scenario, the target market will be elderly as well. The target market will also include decision-makers and order makers in clinics, hospitals, wholesalers, and traders.
2. The media I would be using to reach the target market will be social media and print media. It would allow me to connect with newly married couples or parents or individuals taking care of the elderly. Social media would ensure online presence while print media will help to reach every household.
3. I would be using competitive advertising instead of comparative advertising. The task would be to provide the customers with competitive product instead of comparing it with already existing players. Comparative advertising will only heat the brand war. I would focus on the benefits of the product making it competitive enough to buy.
