discuss whether Facebook has improved having a satisfying social life or undermined people offline relations?? (140 words)
Facebook is one of the most popular social media sites; it connects people online. There is a wide range of debate concerning merits and demerits of Facebook. In my views Facebook has increased satisfaction of social as well as undermined offline relationships.
Facebook connects people from across the world. People become friends, interact with each other and become friends. This concept of Facebook has created many social groups where people interact personally as well as professionally. Facebook never requires physical meeting; it gives updates of people under a social circle. There has been psychological satisfaction among the people with a feeling that they are never lonely and they can interact any time with their virtual friends. In this way Facebook has given rise to enhanced social interactions.
But there is other side to this story. Increased virtual relationships can severely undermined real life social interactions. It is often seen that people are not interested in going out; they are comfortable with their phone in hands and interacting with their virtual friends. Even in case of any gatherings, people sit together, but they never seem to care each other. Almost all the members of a gathering are more concerned with their online social groups. This phenomenon has severely limited face to face interactions.
