Name a time where a mistake was made. What steps did you take to handle it?
Answer- No one likes to talk about the mistakes they have made. Interviewers want to know about more than just your successes. They want to hear it all - The Good ,the Bad and the Ugly . that include your mistakes .
When a candidate can answer the challenging questions about their negative experience, they demonstrate their self awareness and their emotional intelligence.
Here are four steps to take when answering interview question about your mistake and failures:
1 .prepare for them:- you would reflect on sometimes when there were internal conflicts among team members. Choose a Story that some errors in your judgement but not too much error .
2. keep your example short:- keep your answer brief by sticking to the problem, action, result (PAR) format .
3 .Explain what you learn from your mistake.
4.Be ready for follow up questions. Interviewers will often want to know more about the situation. So, don't be surprised if an interviewer try to dig a little deeper. This is just a sign that they want to know more.
