Have you ever had to deal with a virus? What steps did you take to get rid of the virus? Could you have avoided infection in the first place? What did you learn from the experience?

I remember the time when the virus first hit my PC. It really feels bad to be a target of a bunch of unethical people who try to spread their malacious programs to destroy someone's work.

Steps I took to get rid of VIRUS are:

1) I created a backup of personal files

2) Disconnected myself from the internet

3) Booted in SAFE MODE

4) Got another computer with internet access

5) Cleaned up temporary files and worthless programs.

6) Removed the system restore points

I could have avoided this on first place if could not have clicked on the download link on an unsafe website or could have installed a genuine antivirus

The experience taught me a lesson that don't download anything from a non-secure website and always keep your antivirus up to date.
