Federal bureaucracy is managed by specialized officials who perform the role of public administration. Most of the federal bureaucrats get their job through the civil service system; they ate broadly representative of the people of the country. In US, Congress Increasingly delegates large amounts of power to bureaucratic agencies to develop rules regulating practices in the private sector. Thus its clear that bureaucracy is managed by officials selected on the basis of experience and expertise .The number of people employed in bureaucracy has increased over time. The federal workforce is made up of around 2.3 million individuals who are smart ,dedicated and hardworking.

Now lets look into how beaurocracy is managed .First of all it has a formal hierarchical structure. Each level controls the level shove it. For example, there are 15 cabinet departments in US. Each cabinet department has a head called secretary who report directly to the president. The lower levels have the responsibility to execute the decisions made at higher levels but each level do have it's own powers and responsibilities . There is set of rules and procedure that must be flowered by all. Aparr from that, division of labour and impersonality of managers also contribute to the effective management of federal bureaucracy.
