I will answer as a Team Member ...
First let's briefly understand the meaning of knowledge, skill
and experience..
Knowlege refers to the level of clarity on various concepts
necessary as per profile and domain .
Skills refers to the ability of using that learning to apply in
a situation.
Experience is self explanatory .. it refers to the past
knowledge and feelings that influences someone's future
actions.
1) To perform in a team:
- you must acquire skills which will make you a better team
player
- Somethingthat teaches you collaboration, as it is the most
important thing to succeed as a team. If there are discrepancies
among team members it may lead to tensions and that will ultimately
result in low performance from the entire team .
- Also learning to adjust in situations is also necessary, we
should make ourselves flexible enough to work in any
situation.
- We must always try to understand everyone's point of view
before reacting in a negative manner .
- We must keep ourselves involves from day 1.
- We must always look for ways to make the task more
effecient.
- We should never behave in an egoistic manner
- We must have thorough knowledge of the entire project , in case
of any confusion it must be cleared at the earliest.
- In terms of experience you must have had multiple team
encounters since childhood .. trying to link those learning will
also benefit greatly to become a great team player.
2) To make a job more rewarding, few points must always be taken
into consideration:
- All the skills mentioned above must be adapted
- Behavioral skills must be developed
- We should go through the Job Description and match it with our
Resume, this will help is in knowing what is our weekness and we
can work on it accordingly
- The job must be understood thoroughly and accordingly knowledge
should be enhanced
- Any confusion must be cleared at the earliest
3) Steps :
- As discussed above matching the Job description with our Resume
can be the best practice to increase our knowledge and skill
- Guidance from superiors is also a good way
- We must enhance our observation skill and thus keep on
observing how our colleagues and superiors work so that we can pick
up key actions which can be applied to our work
- The first step is always to identify the skills needed, after
that we can focus on self development or taking the help of a coach
can also be considered
- We must challenge ourselves on the skills we are week at and
make monthly plans and goals to overcome it
- Various extra coaching sessions can be taken as they are
focused towards upskilling.
- Trying to have a regular conversation with the person who holds
exceptional proficiency in the required skill will also help .
