Solutions

Expert Solution

  1. Population: The population has to be defined first. The researcher has to decide what population he will be using in the study. The population could be children, adolescents, adults, college students, doctors etc on whom the experiment of games can be done.
  2. Sample Size: Now after choosing which population we are going to study, we select the sample size. The sample size should not be too small as it will not accurately represent the population, nor it should be too large that it causes feasibility and budget issues. Suppose the population is high school students, then the sample should also be high school student. But, it should accurately represent all high school students and should not be biased.
  3. Listing the population: Now after deciding on the the and population, the population should be listed now. Suppose the population comprises of all the 3 high school i a small town, then all the students have to be listed in it.
  4. Numbering the Population: All the population should be assigned specific numbers so that all the student are assigned numbers to themselves.
  5. Random number selection: Now after the numbers are assigned. The sample is randomly selected from the population. Suppose the population size is 1000, 100 students may be randomly selected as the sample. Simple random sampling can be done through the lottery method or the computer generated random number method.
  6. Sample Selection: So, finally the sample is now selected for the study.
