Tough Decisions
This week’s lecture focused on problem solving and decision making. What are some of the toughest decisions you’ve had to make in your life? What techniques (as explored in the Week 5 reading) did you use at the time to make them? Would you do anything differently now? Feel free to explore decisions you’ve had to make in your schooling, career (past or present), family life and with friendships.
Your work should be at least 500 words, but mostly draw from your own personal experience. This should be written in first person and give examples from your life. Be sure if you are using information from the readings that you properly cite your readings in this, and in all assignments.
PLEASE IN YOUR OWN WORDS!!!! NO PLAGIARISM!!!!!
One the toughest decision in my life was to choose between my first love , career in cricket or to continue excelling in studies.
I was passionate are for cricket and used to play since morning to evening if I was allowed to do so , without any exhaustion.
On the other hand , I was good at studies too. I felt good when I used to stood first in class. Moreover , parents and relative always gave importance to studies ignoring sports as prevalent my society.
So it was a tough task when I passed high school because at that that time I could not continue doing both.
I used paired comparison analysis , i.e. comparing each pair for various pros and cons. I reached the conclusion that studies are more predictable and have more options than playing cricket. Even if I was passionate about cricket , but to make a career in that field would have been relatively tougher and more risky. So I decided to continue my studies and today I am satisfied that I took that decision at that time.
