b) Material waste is a topical issue, as there have been many recent publications drawing attention to excessive waste and loss of materials on site. In the past, estimators have been content to add a small percentage (about 5%)to the contract price to cover loss and damage, but now the high cost of materials and competition for work justifies stricter site control. Recycling is the process of transforming the waste material into new products. This type of material include glass, paper, metal, plastic, electronics. Reprocessing of this materials reduce the consumption of raw materials for new product.
Re- using waste are the other type of waste. Many materials can be recovered from the can be used for another work or another project. Steel bar waste caused by poor detailing of structure, or the maximum length less than standard size can be used for another project with the same length or measurement. Tiles, granites, paint, conduits waste etc can be re used in this way and reduce the wastage by site control
c.)Time, cost, and quality are three primary forces in project management system. Time is often fixed and the remaining are variables in proportion with each other. The quality of the project or work will vary in accordance with resources available within the limited cost.
