Using the 9 power tactics, explain and justify how you’d talk to an employee of yours who has been showing up late and whose work performance is slumping.
There are five types of power tactics as mentioned reward power, coercive power, legitimate power, expert power and referent power. Coercive power can be used for punishing employees who are regularly coming late and there is a gradual downslide in their performance over a stimulated time of years. These include closer and tighter supervision of employees who are not working properly, undue work load of unwanted and unjustified assignments and suspension of duty without pay. This is effective during conversation of these employee with the mangement organization of the group.

9)Coalitions.
There are various points which should be expressed by a manager for motivating an employee in a firm who is coming late consistently like reasoning, motivation, inspiring, challenging, ask for help and deal with friends, tell authority sincerely about the problem you are facing while reaching the organization, give clarification, be honest and do not lie and force them to reach on time.
