a)Explain why the amniotic egg is an important evolutionary breakthrough. Name three classes of animals that are classified as “Amniotes”.
b)Describe the three different patterns of dispersion and provide an example of each. Which pattern of dispersion is most common in nature?
(please answer both parts, need an answer as soon as possible
please)
a) Amniotic eggs are the type of eggs which are produced birds, reptiles and egg laying mammals (amniotes), from which the embryo is developed inside the amnion.
The amniotic egg was an evolutionary invention which allowed the initial reptiles to colonize in dry land more than 300 million years ago. Creatures like fishes and amphibians have to lay their eggs in water and so they cannot live far away from water.
The amniotes include mainly three classes of animals. They are clade of tetrapod vertebrates which is composed of reptiles, birds and mammals.
b) The three different patterns of dispersion are of the following given below:
Clumped dispersion is the most common pattern of dispersion found in nature.
