Is it ethical for a cohesive team to decide to keep production to a minimum because they know, from experience, that if they raise it management will increase their production quotas to unreasonable heights?

Cohesiveness is the extent to which team members stick together and remain united in the pursuit of a common goal. A team is said to be in a state of cohesion when its members possess bonds linking them to one another and to the team as a whole.
The main factors that influence group cohesiveness are members' similarity,group size,entry difficulty, group success and external competition and threats.Sometimes Successful business strategies are generally carried out by an effective team with a high level of cohesiveness. Teams with higher cohesiveness are more committed to the goals and activities are are happy when team will get success and have feelings of part of something very significant in the result it increases the performance of each member.
As a working in a team provides so many benefits.Work done in teams provides many advantages and benefits. The main benefits is that they can get to know about different ideas, mind set and percetion which they can share among all. Lack of cohesion within a team working environment will lead to stress and depression among the team members which directly affect the performance of the company.So the level of cohesiveness must be maintain at work place.
The advantages of cohesive groups are;experience lower levels of stress ,have lower rates of absenteeism,have lower turnover rates,experience greater job satisfaction and have more consistent individual productivity outcomes within the group
Team Cohesiveness and Team development are the same with diffrent wordings only.It will take time in any team development.There are four stages in Team development i.e,Forming,storming,norming and performing.
The forming stage indicates starting of relations,expection very strong developing bonding among members. The storming stage has started once team members start jostling for position,having lots of confusion.having arguments about goals. After storming stage is overcome the team is ready to establish open communications, stable positions and the norming phase. In this stage trust has built up among all employees because of that communication can be easy and effective.After all these three steps cohesiveness is achieved, teams will move from norming to performing and subsequently to highly performing.
In cohesiveness it is important to take care of few points
Make time for team members to appreciate each other’s skills:In a group there are diferent kind of people with different type of creativity .So, sometimes it is good to appreciate each other so that they feel motivated and can work with more enthusiasm.
Manage emotional concerns that can help to achieve team’s progress:It is important to create comfortable, team oriented signs to express the anger which cant be avoided,stress,tension and create positive work place.
Celebrate success:It means that whenevr team has achived something or get work done in given time period and get rewarded from management then they shold be celebrate it so that every team member like to work together,
Successful teamwork is also an important for employee engagement and wellbeing at a time when talent retention faces the highly competitive global job market . Teams in the future of work will be increasingly in 4d's diverse, dispersed, digital, dynamic’, but the fundamental skills that comprise effective teamwork are likely to remain the same. The elements crucial to building a productive team including Communication,Delegation,Efficiency,Ideas and Support.

Hire With Diversity In Mind: Diversity in any workplace is very important.Higher people from all age group,Mixture of culture different backgrounds.So that diffrent opinions ideas can be gathered.
Set Goals:For any organization goals or objectives are very important.So set goals at a very starting period so that every employee will work towards and chances of confict will be very less.
Give task to everyone:Sometimes it is hapen that at a workplace one employee get the amount of work more as compared to his team member.So distribute the work or allocate responsibilty in same portion.
Build trust: among the team members and bertween you and your employees will give employees motivation to work done.They can freely share their ideas,opinions without any fera.
Give Authority: It does not mean that give all the power to employees,Its simply mean that employee should get power to take their decision at their own. By this they can be inpdependent and can be grow inside the organization.They should be informed about their powers and when they need to take permission of higher authority.
Make time for fun:Sometimes employees needs a break from work and want to get fresh up.You should allow your team to socially celebrate which makes cohesion very strong.

In my opinion it is ethical for cohesive team to keep production to minimum because team has all the knowledge about production as well product.Because in any compnay and in a team there are different members who is having different kind of information about the organization among them there may be employees who is working since last 1o years or more.So if they raise the production they surely know that will be forcefully get work done from management and allocated more work which will decrease their efficiency.
In a manufacturing plant if leader of union labor denies for the work then his unions always work in his leader' favor.
