History of the use of informatics:

• The field of health care informatics standards started in the late 1960 century.
• Standards for laboratory message exchange , properties for electronic health record system, data content and Health information system security were among the first health care informatics.
• American national standards institute has been the accredited and coordinator of the US private sectors valutary standardization system since 1980.
• In 1991 the predecessor organisation to the American national standards institute health care informatics standard board was created .
• Initially it responds European efforts in health care informatics standards.
• It exists currently to co-ordinate national health care informatics standards.
• The health delivery system today employee may different information system from different vendors.
• For example a hospital may have the laboratory system from one vendor , a pharmacy system for another vendor, patient care documentation system from 3rd vendor.
• Public health in previous not having any equipments for the outpatient in the 1950 century.
