Compare and contrast the ethic of care and the ethic of justice, including the phases and stages of each theory of moral development.
Ethical theory holds the moral action and decision making for
interpersonla relationship it focus on values and virtues, it was
culturally associated with women and its role as a feminine.
Ethics of justice also holds the moral action of right for the
people and make solution, it include legal action for every moral
decisions, it is a complex ethical theory than ethics of care that
emphasize equality, fairness and allocation of equitable
treatment.
The ethics of care approach emphasizes utilitarianism,
responsibility and justice or concern that professionals should
hold to care the individual. it promotes the wellbeing of people
and professionals within the social relationship. It focuses on
social power, relationship, identity and interdependent as a unique
aspect of the theory. Responsibility as deontological ethics
focuses on the relationship between duty and morality of human
actions. Utilitarianism opposite the egoism and view on personal
self-interest, it acts according to right or wrong aspects. justice
or concern holds good and bad things proportion to work.
The ethic of justice moral choice evaluates people for their
rights. it holds three stages include a preconvention, conventional
and post-conventional stage. Preconvetional stage holds moral
regarding what is right or wrong. The conventional phase focus on
the sense of morality between person and society, it ensures
positive relations. post-conventional focus on abstract principles
and values. it is a highest stage of functioning that acts to
determine a person self-action in ethical aspects.
