A well-designed questionnaire should meet the research objectives. Give examples of preparatory work that one should conduct to ensure that these objectives are met.
A questionnaire is a technique for collecting data in which a respondent provide answer to a series of questions. To develope a well questionnaire we have to spent some time and efforts. however, by taking step by step to questionnaire development we can come up with an effective means to collect data.
Our questionnaire should meet some objectives. For this we have to prepare ourselves first by keeping these steps in mind.
1) Identify the goal of your questionnaire.
Come up with a research question.it can be a question of several but this should be the focal point of questionnaire.
Develope several hypothesis on the question we want to test.
2) Develope questions for your questionnaire.
The question which we will develop for questionnaire should be clear , concise, and direct..
3)Restrict the length of questionnaire.
Make sure we keep it as concise as possible while still collecting the necessary information.
4) Identify your target demographic.
Is there a group of people who you want to target your questionnaire.
These question should keep in mind while preparing.
5) Ensure you are protecting privacy.
Make plan to protect respondent privacy before writing survey.
These are some preparatory work that on should conduct to ensure that these objectives are met.
