The 5 major promotion mix tools are as follows -
1) Advertising - Promotion through advertising refers to promoting the goods, ideas or services through a verified sponsor.
2) Personal selling - It is also known as direct selling. Personal selling refers to selling the goods or services while interacting face to face with customer with oral presentation.
3) Sales promotion - Sales promotion is being used to boost sales in short time period. It involves persuading the customer to buy the product or service. For example - Contest, coupans, gifts etc.
4) Public relations - Public relation refers to the image of the company and the relation of the company with their stakeholders.
5) Direct Marketing - Direct marketing involves selling the product or services directly to the customers without involvement of any wholesaler or retailer.
