Strategies refers to the plans that are made to meet the goals and objectives. Decision-making are based on the goals and objectives of the group and the group makes informed decisions by getting involved in the decision making process.

It is very important to make strategic plan effectively in order to meet the desired goal. The reasons most strategies fail are:-

  • If business makes decisions without any proper planning just for the sake of formality.
  • Sometimes business do not focus on the changing environment and setting priorities. If need analysis is not performed by business to meet the result, decision often fails.
  • If the higher management and staffs are not committed towards meeting the goals, the decisions may fail.
  • If the strategies plan are not executed properly by the staff involved, decisions may fail.
  • If the managers do not take the decisions seriously, and perform business activities without following it, decisions may fail.
  • If the strategies and employees are not adaptable to changing environment, decisions fail.
  • If the people in leadership position does not have skills required to execute the plans, decisions may fail.
  • If the business do not consider reality, facts and assumptions when making decisions, it often fails.
  • If the goals of business are unrealistic, the decisions often fail.
  • If the organization do not have effective communication system, decisions often fail.
