  • Function: The mission statement should include the function of the organization or business or what its aiming to offer to the client. For example: To provide high quality care services.
  • Customers/ Clients: The mission should specify for whom is the planning generated and who is the target population to whom is the service provided. Example: In healthcare organization patients are the customers.
  • Values: A mission should include the organization values. These are the principles that the organization aims to affirm in their day to day services. Example: to promote health, to prevent illness.

  • Unrealistic goals or objectives: The mission or vision of an organization if includes those goals and objectives which are unrealistic then its difficult to achieve it.
