Q1.) a.) Looking over for HTTPS, it is nothing just HTTP with SSL (Secure Socket Layer), that is, adding security to any site, which may be like adding security to your cache, cookies, or passwords, credentials, credit cards information, etc.

The 'S' of HTTPS is just like security guards in front of a bank. Whom we have to pay at regular intervals, their actions, their qualities, etc. Similarly, the following are the disadvantages of adding an 'S' in HTTP:-

• We have to pay the charges of the certificate at regular intervals(mostly a year).
• They don't have a uniform rate, it depends on the type of verification, number of pages, etc.
• When any of the regular periods of renewal of the certificate is not followed, it leads to misbehaving of the site until we switch the site to HTTP from HTTP.

These are just the cost related types of disadvantages, however, there are various other aspects, few of them are as follows:-

• HTTPS sites are a bit less responsive at some point in time. Maybe slow.
• It might pose some problems when an HTTPS site uses data from an API or any other site which is not as secure as it.
• Caching activity, that the Internet Service Providers (ISPs), may not work properly due to the encryption caused by the extra 'S'.

b.) Since everything comes with their pros and cons, however, in my opinion, security has no alternatives, in any way possible, other than you stop using the internet. Following are the arguments that I want to pose in:-

• HTTPS promotes and motivates the SEO, which apart from its benefits, creates many job opportunities too.
• A secure website is more trustworthy than a friend.
• Google analytics, a very latest feature, is suited best for HTTPS.

However, if the any site doesn't deal with any sort of crucial data, the extra 'S', has no significant use, as in, it is not worth of putting scarecrow in a barren land.
